My daughter is 8 years old and has been diagnosed with alopecia areata.
From what i was told it is autioimmune related. Her father has chron's disease which is an autioimmune disease. could her hair loss be related to her fathers autioimmune disease? she has been losing hair for the last 2 years. it will fall out in patches and then grow back. only for it to fall out in other areas. Is there any thing other than tropical cortistroids that will possibly work. and will she lose her hair all her life? any help would be appreciated.

At the moment I am talking to a young lady (25) who developed the same problem when she was 9 years old.
She puts it down to the fact that she lived until then under overhead power lines.
I am starting to work with her tomorrow.
If you are interested, please write to me.
Kind regards,
