Hey,

So I live in Shanghai. I know it's not the only city with 5G networks already in place, but here they will soon be everywhere. We have the network downtown, on the trains from HongQiao station, and in many public places. Huawei and the government are really pushing it here in the economic heart of China.

So, my concern is, 5G will use spectrum waves in the existing LTE frequency range (600 MHz to 6 GHz) and also in millimeter wave bands (24–86 GHz). I even heard Verizon's 5G Ultra Wideband network uses these millimeter waves, specifically 28 GHz and 39 GHz.

These are powerful. The microwave spectrum is usually defined as a range of frequencies ranging from 1 GHz to over 100 GHz. Therefore, there's overlap between our new phones and microwaves.

As a balding man, won't this fry our hair even more than current signals do? What tests have been done for the safety of this?

With every phone call on my Samsung S10 5G, will my hair miniaturize?

Help!
