I don't see any difference but using just nizoral and t gel I wouldn't expect any better than just maintenance, but since you appear to have achieved this I suppose it's a success.

On the other hand.... 4 months I'ts a little too early go tell give it 6 months to a year and compare again.

By the way, I'm a big beleiver in Nizoral.

Hiya :)

Well, how much do you feel you are shedding? Anything at all?

Your hairline looks pretty ok, although as people said you would be fairly lucky to control hair loss using only Nizoral and T-Gel - so if you are doing it then more power to you! hehe :)

If you feel you want to protect your hair further, look at the regimens of me and other people on this forum for lots of ideas!

If you look real carefully at your hairline in the "after" picture, you will see slightly more loss at the immediate edge of your hairline versus your "before". I would say you got slightly worse. My hairline is similar to yours. You see that little notch of hair loss off to the center of your little widow's peak. Its bigger in the after photo. I have a small notch like that too next to my little widow's peak. That notch developed after using minoxidil. It never filled back completely. I have a few tiny hairs popping up in the notch but it still never came back. And my little widow's peak has been "eaten" away too from minoxidil or one of my topicals. I used to have a fairly straight hairline with a small little widows peak that used to be really thick. I have barely any temple recession. Yet after using topicals at my hairline, it became very notchy just like your hairline. And the hairs along the edge of my hairline are even whispy which they never were before topicals. I don't know if its really a good idea to use topicals at the edge of your hairline.

Maybe they caused the DHT infected hairs to fall earlier than they would have. There is always that risk of treatments that cause shedding, the highly sensitive follicles might be forced to shed but never grow back due to DHT sensitivity.I believe that this is just an outside chance and in most cases MIN would just promote hair growth.

I have to disagree, I'd say the discrepancy in size is due to the slightly different angles of his head in the pics. So to me, the hair looks exactly the same in both pictures.
I know what you're saying about the use of topicals on the hairline as I have sort of experienced this myself, but I don't think that's the case here.

edit: just looked at the full size pictures, and think the second one actually shows some improvement.

Thank you for your positive feedback i can also see your point. The picture is a bit brighter and at a slightly different angle. In how can you see improvement. Do you think i should carry on using nizoral?

The second picture is more in focus so it may just be that, but the hairs look stronger and more defined. Put it this way, your hair has certainly not got any worse and nizoral is only going to help so stick with it.

At the bottom of your post it says you're on finasteride EOD. if this is the case i'd say your maintenance is due to the finasteride and not nizoral or tgel
