24M, significant diffuse thinning and receding hairline - is this salvageable?

how long have you been on oral min and how is your progress compared to topical?

Topical dont work for me so im trying oral. Oral i was on it for 2.5 months no change to hair but still Early to see results, i quit it for 3 weeks due to a Side effect. Then re started it, now on it for like a month but I upped the dose to twice daily and use 20mg in total now so time will tell.

Those are great results. I'm new to forum. I have a question, how do we keep those hairs once grown with min for some years? Do we need to use it regularly or finasteride will take care?

finasteride helps to maintain, but you need to continue minoxidil to help keep the gains.

liquid was used mostly, but as its got longer i do use foam as well.

Supposedly the foam isn't quite as bad for the hair cosmetically because it lacks PG which is in the liquid.

Have you considered low dose oral? It might help you stick to twice daily more consistently.

Maybe that is my problem, I am now once a day and i do it without washing my head beforehand as I shower in the morning. My hair is quite fine so even foam makes it look trash. I do need to look into oral, maybe i will continue my routine but add 1.25-2.5mg oral min in the morning.

0.1mL in the pipette is 5mg, so you would need only a couple drops to get the desired amount.

update.
looking and comparing from the the pics from page 13, I would argue that we are currently below that level on the scalp, but that the beard has improved since then. adding 2 drops of min orally in the AM (As my already thin hair looks sh*t with min in it), as well as usual topical min before bed. Hopefully being more consistent with min will keep me at the level I was back then.
Still on 0.5mg finasteride daily, dicks been fine. Nutted with girls no problem.
