I've been on finasteride 2 years next month. It didn't help me personally but it does help a lot of people. I am on additional treatments which have had mixed results. finasteride can in some cases make things worse ( although some here will deny that ) as it negatively affected my hair. I don't think the side effects are permenant, in very rare cases people have reported long-term persistent side effects after stopping the drug but it could just all be in their heads. Using finasteride for a few weeks to test the waters won't do you any harm.

Thanks Andy I appreciate it. I’ll keep you posted. May wait it out till it gets a little worse, I think I’m just in my head about it, I feel like it’s not too bad at the moment and I don’t want to have to get on it right now. We’ll see, I appreciate it my man.

Looking at it now I do think this is a cause to worry, your temples are pretty much gone and your hairline is going back too. How is your family history for hair loss?

Every day lol. I'd say you are a Norwood 2. Your actual hairline is pretty good its just your temples that don't look great.
