SECOND PROCEDURE ON PAGE 4

So as of Last thursday I completed my first of 2-3 FUE transplants with Dr. John Cole, at the forhair clinic in Alpharetta GA.

Here are all the pics the day before the appointment and progression from the day after up to today, 8 days after

As of right now Iam applying soft pressure in the shower, with my fingers, rubbing my scalp to remove the scabs. The back of my head is almost entirely healed up at this point.

My next procedure is planned for the same time 2021. Depending on the results of this first one, my goal is to drop my hair line about 1.5cm near the temples and 1cm in the front to match with that small bushel at the front of my head. Most likely another 1800-2000 grafts to get what Im hoping for.

Keep this buzz cut, it looks great. Grow out the beard a bit. Save the money and don't get the extra transplants (until you need them well into the future). Use minoxidil/Finasteride to thicken and maintain from this point forward!

Why in 3 sessions?
Thats kinda my decision I suppose, mainly money and concern with over harvest and or shock to my body. Im really in no rush. This initial one, second to further drop my hair line (1800-2000 more grafts) really dependent on how this first one turns out though, of course. One more for the crown and touch up of the front (1800-2000 more grants). Assuming everything happens the way I hope it does.

yeah, I have a lot to consider, especially since I only have so many hairs I can pull out of my head. About to start the topical finasteride and slowly get off the pill. Hopefully I get the same if not better results. Ive been on 0.5mg propecia and the normal rogaine 2x day for 6 years.

Oh wow! 6 years...did it halt the balding? Did you get some regrowth? I have been using Minoxidil topical for over 3 years. Just added 1.25mg Finasteride daily for only 2 months, and Nizoral 2% (twice a week). I also added dermarolling. How old are you?

Heres an update thread I did a couple years ago. I just turned 36. I have the microneedle device I just need to start using it. Probably will next week.

Nice, man. You had great regrowth. I am 41 years old. My hairline had went back over the years, but my density was always strong...up until around 37. I started with Minoxidil and the results were amazing. The density returned! But, after about 3 years of just minoxidil, the diffuse thinning began at the frontal hairline. I put it off for about a year, just kept buzzing my head - or combing it over when it was longer...until I decided to hop on Finasteride. I am hoping with the combination of Finasteride, Minoxidil and Nizoral 2% it will restore some density in the front. I am only 2 months on Finasteride...so it is way too early to tell...but I am excited when I saw your results from it.

This was my first pictures from DAY ONE taking Finasteride (I buzzed it):

Anyone curious about updates on my hair, well, here they are. Im about 40 days in and you can see the current and 5 weeks ago differences. Right now, Im in the beginning phase of the SHEDDING. Almost all the transplant hairs have fallen out to begin the natural cycle of the follicle growth. The difference pretty obvious though. You can see I've lost all the density on the sides and up the middle, which is a good thing!

My hair is also the same length in both pics.

Last update. I have also completely gotten off the pill "Propecia". I have moved to a topical version of it which in multiple studies has shown ZERO side effects and yields better results. Ill now be taking a 1% finasteride, 5% minoxidil topical blend as well as my rogaine.

Good work. You'll get a lovely result after your 2nd hairline procedure since your forehead is a perfect size. Right now you're a NW2.5 and need to get to a NW2 minimum for a normal hairline! Your plan is good, just need a cm on the corners.

thats the exact plan, probably a little lower than 1 cm near the temples, maybe 1.5 down to 1cm in the front and fill in the hairs a little that area near my eyebrows, I forget what that area is called. I do foresee one more after that for potential a little more density increase in the entire area of the 1st and 2nd procedure.

You're referring to temple work or temple peaks. I'm surprised he just didn't give you the mature hairline already and then your next transplant would just be based on density but not a big deal. Maybe you already have a mature hairline rather than a Norwood 2.5 but the pic creates an illusion, in some pics it looks mature when I look back. What's the distance between your glabella and hairline centre (in cms) and between the highest point of your hairline corners and top of your eyebrows? Just curious. I refer to the yellow and red arrows, the red randomly extends beyond the eyebrows, ignore!

Looks legit man, how old are you? You're front is further gone then mine but my crown has started as well. I want to go through the same procedure in the next 1-2 years. Based on the fact that you wrote 2-3 procedures, how many graphs will you end up with?

On finasteride? Maintaining?

Edit** I see you're 36 and did maintain on finasteride. Bit older then me (I'm almost 28) and I'm not really maintaining on finasteride, so I guess we have our differences! Wonder if I'd be a poor candidate.

Following!

Him not going aggressive with it was100% my doing. I told him I did not want a major graft harvest, being my first procedure. Word for word I said "I want a distinct hairline, NOT a hair gradient in under 2000 grafts. I was also very nervous about paying all that money and my body reacting poorly to the procedure. The difference between getting what I WANT in the end and this initial procedure was essentially double the cost. I wanted to be sure that this would actually do what I was hoping or that it would work at all.

As for forehead height, I have 6.3 to 6.4cm in that yellow line and 7.6-7.8cm in the red line. I have a wider, more roundish/square head and the camera focal length obviously messes with things.
