Long time viewer, first time poster. I had 2 procedures with Dr. Rahal, one almost 3 years ago, and my 2nd 5 days ago. Ill post pictures from before the first procedure till after the 2nd.

Background: 29yo, been losing my hair since age 19.

First hair transplant: 3480 grafts in front and mid scalp
Second hair transplant: 2522 grafts in front and crown.

Damn, what a rad change! I would have been happier by choosing FUE but the result is awesome nevertheless.

It won't matter as such. He has managed to get a lot of hair on top, it's pretty much full coverage especially at the front, so he won't need to shave ever.

Seems like this guy is just dealing with transplants, wonder if he ever tried meds.

Good donor density it seems.

Hey guys, sorry for taking a while to reply, I was having trouble accessing my account. As far as meds go I've been on Rogaine forever, I take finasteride but have never been totally consistent with it, until recently. Ive bit the bullet and have and will continue 1mg ed. I have no problem getting a strip, you can see my pre op pictures with my head shaved and see how thin the scar is, I can cut my hair down to a #2 in the majority of places and even a #1 towards the back. I do plan on getting SMP into the scar though in the future. After this hair transplant grows in I may do another FUT, than one last FUE. depending on how my donor holds up. so far I've had 6000 grafts. My donor is pretty good, ill attach a picture of my graft breakdown for you guys, let me know what you think!

Rahal is state of the art. Had an hair transplant with him also, came out perfectly.

I had a Rahal transplant done in December. 2600 FUT grafts around the mid-front. Things are coming in nicely, I'm coming up to 5 months now. Still expecting and hoping for a lot of improvement too. The scar, like you said, is also not visible at a # 2, even less than 5 months out. He is professional. Good luck with future growth.

Your donor? Did you get the hair from someone else?

Donor means the recipient hair grafts from strip from back and side of the head, parts of the hair that aren't affected by DHT and don't go bald from male pattern baldness. So it's his own hair

Thanks, good to know. I know a lot of people talk about a lot of growth at 4 - 5 months so I was a little worried. Still coming in nicely though

no... they are talking bull****. At five month's I was beyond disappointed. Between 9-10 months is when I started to appreciate my hair transplant.

How much has that cost you so far if you don't mind me asking? Looking at getting hair transplant myself.

FUT is around 4.35 with rahal if im not mistaken.

FUE is almost double that

Yeah FUE is literally 8-9$ with Rahal, Fellar, arocha, berstein etc any of those popular surgeons.

I plan on getting my next procedure in turkey, FUE.

Want to get temple points transplanted, and more angular closure on corners of hairline.

15000€ for a 2000 grafts FUE then?! Damn, talk about getting ripped off.

I know he is state of the art but still, I paid less than three times less (4500€) for my 2000 grafts FUE.

And I don't think Rahal could have done any better than De Reys, as I seem to have had a yield close to 100%.

No wonder everyone is flying to Belgium/Turkey to get their hair transplant done.

If you don't pay top dollar for the top american surgeons you risk getting butchered. It's best to just fly to EU.

Men don't say this we have some very good surgeons here.
At the top we got Hattingen Hair, also Joe Tillman recommands it as he was working at Hasson & Wong.
We got also some good surgeons in Belgium and Dr. Koray Erdogan from Turkey is also a good choice.

But yes, the rest of them isn't good.
