I have great results so far. I hope I even get better results after another 4 months, when I finally reach the 1 year mark.

I know that you said you were muslim and you dont care about libido drop or ED but have you noticed any difference it after taking dutasteride? I am like you in the sense that I dont really care for libido or ED that much compared to having hair so I am staying on finasteride even with plenty of sides happening right now but I am just curious how it is on dutasteride since I already notice sides on finasteride.

My sex drive is still extremely high, even higher than Einstein's IQ, lol.

I wish it would actually drop, but it still didn't. I think it is even increased.

But yeah, all people react differently on drugs.

Yes easily this is the regimen I use and my hair loss is way worse then yours. Do this religiously and you can easily get 100 percent back. I also recommend you shaving it down until the hair is back.

Finasteride. No side effects at all.
Minoxidil morning and night. Plus .5 dermapen for absorbtion every morning.

I take Sawpalmetto(blocks dht), Pygeum(blocks dht), biotin. Coconut oil+cayenne pepper oil mixture every day or other day for 30 minutes or more.(cayenne blocks cannibinoids from marijuana use, which can cause hair loss. And it stimulates new hair growth).

I use an inversion table about 15 to 30 minutes a day spread out in like 5 minute increments.

I massage coconut oil with a brush on my scalp for around 10 minutes a day or other day. Brush or fingertips. Doesnt matter.
Also I do fingernail rubbing around 10 minutes a day throughout the day.(stimulates the hair follicles).

Guys ive been thinking and what are the chances that I actually go bald. I got on finasteride right after the first few months of noticable hairloss. At the time I started finasteride 99.999% of people would never know that I was even losing any hair at all. Its not possible to go from NW1 to NW6-7 while being on finasteride the entire time right? Has that ever happened before where someone goes from nw1 to bald while being on finasteride or dutasteride the entire time?

I'd recommend estrogen injections and chemical castration

There are many MtFers that can attest to sex change significantly improving their Norwaad rating as well

Idk man I hope for the best for us. I’ve been on finasteride since I realized my crown was thinning and now I’m noticeably thinning. Let’s hope we can hold something for when new treatments come around

Okay, let’s get some things straight.
In the first picture where you say that your head was wet, I think only the front was wet, the rest was dry. Is the correct?

I think you’re clealry losing hair in a diffuse manner not the typical pattern so this kind of loss is hard to notice especially since you have thick wavy hair which hides scalp way better than straight or fine hair.
What I’m saying is that when you had your hair long it was covering your loss of density as opposed to having it short which exposes the scalp more.
I think if you grew your hair back to the same length, you’d get close to what you were prior to finasteride.

Finally, since you are losing hair all over and not in a specific area, it’s possible that most of your hair was already undergoing miniaturization, probably earlier stage. And we all know that miniaturizatied hair can’t be simply reversed, it needs to fall multiple times until it can get back to it’s original state.

I know this because I’m exactly like you and I have the same pattern when my hair is long, I barely see any scalp or thinning but when it’s short, that’s another story.

Give finasteride 6 months, if you don’t see positive changes, perhaps that would be the time to consider dutaateride.

It is possible to still go bald unfortunately.

Yeah I am growing to back to my usual length. The reason why I cut it was because the wavy hair wasnt actually hiding the thinness that much my scalp was very visible in most lighting. What you said about the miniaturized hairs having to fall multiple times before thickening gives me hope though.

I do expect to see something from finasteride because before finasteride I had crazy scalp pain and itches but once I started taking it all of that went away. So im assuming thats a sign that my scalp is being affected by the lower dht levels. Im gonna give it exactly 1 year no matter what and then reevaluate.

Have you been getting results so far with your regime?

Has there ever been a case like that on hairlosstalk? Where someone goes from thick nw1 to bald while being on finasteride.
I'm not sure about NW1 but I think the moderator Roberto was NW2 when he started finasteride + minoxidil and still went bald.

Yeah but to have a huge synchronized shed for a few months straight surely can’t just be the reversal of miniaturized hairs? I’m not talking on behalf of the OP l, but myself.

Nah I can’t get myself to do it. Plus I think the length covers it up a better than if I buzzed
