...u have inspired me to continue my treatment of finasteride + spironolactone - the latter i have been on since oct. last year ---- couple of question please - first did u experience a shed spironolactone? & what point during your treament did u make some 'gains' ? cheers :)

BTW - was under the impression that taking spironolactone orally was not good for folks health .........

To compare improvement he should have kept his hair in the same style and length in each photo. Biz, have you dropped the caffeine topical?

First, that's not me.
And yes trax, we can believe that, he's a long time poster. I've read several reports about perveted results with oral spironolactone and oral minoxidil.
Still, I would like to see some pics of his tits. :D

Oral spironolactone is scary, I would be worried about losing all my muscle tone.

In the past Ive seen that 100mg or more a day was recommended for hirsuitism in women, or for male hair loss (side effects a risk for men) but he is using a lower dose. 50mg a day is commonly recommended for all patients with CHF congestive heart failure (male and female) , and gynecomastia is not a terribly common complaint at that dose.... Impressive results, but I think Ill save that one for a later day. Good to know it might help.

re:

Bismark, what is going on here. Where did those photos come from and how can you be so sure they are for real. It is simply not possible to grow so much hair in areas that were follicles were dead and the person was slick bald.
Results like that should not be posted without definitive evidence that the person has had no hair transplant.......

The results aren't that great. But it's anecdotal knowledge that spironolactone performs better than Finasteride in treating male pattern baldness.
I don't get your point with the "definitive evidence". I really can't see any reason not to believe him. He's a long time poster and showed his results in a hairloss forum.

I would personally like to hear from the dude himself and not some second party information.

Those results aren't that great, I have made gains like that with just Minoxidil.

I have also heard oral spironolactone (aldactone)and oral min (loniten) are better at fighting male pattern baldness than Finasteride but these drugs are rarely to never prescribed to males for male pattern baldness.

Aldactone is the female equivolent to men's Propecia for treating FPB.

This dude has a 10% chance of developing Gyno by 2 years of only 25 mg use (clinical trials).

Loniten (oral minoxidil) is a vasodilator... it opens the arterioles increasing bloodflow throughout the body. It is only used for severe hypertension. Your heart has to work harder with it and over time a type of heart failure can develope... Much better to take minoxidil topically.

Cornholio, I think (after doing my research) that both topical Min and spironolactone is a much better bet.

P.S. Gilgamesh and I are 2 different people.

Peace

Well, 3 people are using the same avatar, so it's getting kind of confusing. Here is a link for more avatars you can all link to so you can have individual unique avatars... There is even a dancing effeminate spider man and also what i think is MC Hammer dancing to "Can't touch this".

Dibbs on the purple monster dancing and smacking someone's *** : )

I digged this thread because i became amazed by the results. It's very hard to believe.

I'm on Oral spironolactone since mid April. I think i've maintain and it's regrowing a bit on my left temple. Though its hard to notice.

Since I've been taking Oral spironolactone i've becamed more fat-like and my tits became a little more tender.
