Hi Rach3, I saw your posts about laser therapy. I have had the same experience, persistent shedding and thinning after religious use for 5 months, in addition it created scalp issues for me. All labs normal. Do you think we could chat and share our experience?

Any Luck With Low Level Laser Therapy Here?

I have had some hormone levels tested and they are normal. Of course its not the whole gamut but whatever the dcotor asked for. Doctor recommended spironolactone but my PCP advised against it as my BP is already on the lower side. spironolactone is an anti-androgen but really used to cure high BP.

Hair Thinning Rapidly, Help Needed Please

Sorry you're going through this. The first step is to always consult a doctor and get some tests done if the doctor recommends. That's a good place to start. Topical solutions won't do much if the problem is internal.

Hi Cate, good to hear from you. I'm far from relief but some improvement is good improvement. I still have bad days just not as frequent. Good luck with your hair care!

Any Luck With Low Level Laser Therapy Here?

No, I don't know what Cu peptides are. I try to not overdo medications although i've been prescribed a bunch of pills (omega 3 FA, stress reducing, probiotics) at the hair mineral analysis test that Nutrafol offers. Stopped Minoxidil because of the shed. I know its too early to stop but I just...

Any Luck With Low Level Laser Therapy Here?

I did bring my laser time down 15 mins, twice a week before taking a break. I don't know, there are a 1000 combinations I could try but I want to see what happens to my scalp when I completely stop it. And even when I started it, I started with 15 mins and increased to 30 to ease my hair into...

Any Luck With Low Level Laser Therapy Here?

Hey thanks for replying. Appreciate it. I do seem to have FPHL - genetic thinning that has progressed over the years, despite a healthy lifestyle and no excess shedding. I decided to get some medical intervention last summer. Tried high-density platelet rich plasma and added the lasercap. Also...

Any Luck With Low Level Laser Therapy Here?

Can't tell you how many things I've thought about and tried. I've tried reducing laser exposure, changed shampoos, use distilled water to rinse my hair. I've continuously researched about this and even reached out Over Macho Grande (he has a whole blog about laser caps). My diet is the same, may...

Any Luck With Low Level Laser Therapy Here?

About 5 months in March. I use the lasercap at home, 30 mins x 3 times a week. I know its not enough time to see results and I did not have such expectations when I started. The problem is increased shedding of small hairs which has not at all subsided since I started using it. some Telogen Effluvium is...

Any Luck With Low Level Laser Therapy Here?

Hi guys, The women's forum does not have enough activity on this topic. Are there people here who have had positive results from Low Level Laser Therapy? I'm on the verge of giving up on it, just thought i'd check in before. Thanks!

    Question Regarding Telogen Effluvium

I would stay away from Rogaine unless you're sure your condition is genetic. Telogen Effluvium can take some time to subside, so a better option is to wait it out. Rogaine induces a monstrous shed (not for everyone) which is a giant pain in the butt with all the other stuff we endure with hair problems.

Ideal Tsh Levels For Regrowing Hair?

High TSH means low thyroid activity which is hypothyroidism. This can actually lead to increased hair shedding and eventual loss. "TSH levels typically fall between 0.4 and 4.0 milliunits per liter (mU/L), according to the American Thyroid Association. " Look for other triggers like stress...

Anyone Here On Lllt? Please Lets Share Our Experience!

Hi, Don't know if anyone is following this thread. I wanted to post an update for anyone interested. 1. My scalp is leaning more towards normal behavior and is slightly better now when compared to Dec-Jan-Feb. I had issues of scalp dryness/tightness on wash days followed by intense oiliness and...

Hair Loss Or A Naturally Wider Part?

Seriously? Unless you're losing more than before or have some scalp issues, your hair seems to be perfectly fine. This is not the place to seek validation for your already perfect hair.
