I remember you told me that before but son has autism and wouldn't say that he feels that way to the Drs. But he's been seen at least even if I had to pay. At least he see a decent scalp derm and can see him on NHS further apps.
I wanted him to be seen asap so didn't want the 6 month wait...gp was going to refer. He shouldve referred him when I first took my son about this when he was 13!
He's not ruling out male pattern baldness at all but just wants to see how he goes with the supplements. I couldn't afford the biopsy today as it was private but he's writing to my Dr and said son could see him on the NHS.
I think it's a bit of everything he has going on. I've noticed a difference in both his hair and scalp over the past month since he's used nizoral and other bits. The Dr said use the supplements, change diet, get the blood tests done and go back. Also he said my son's testosterone was low...what...
Thanks for all the responses to my last post 're my son.
We saw a private scalp derm today in London and he said my son was folate, vit d and iron deficient. He has seborrhic eczema and thinks after discussing things and seeing photos, that there was a fungal issue also going on (possibly...
But Telogen Effluvium can accelerate male pattern baldness if it's in your genes so having Telogen Effluvium can appear as male pattern baldness. Check nails for beaus lines/horizontal ridges.

This is what I'm wondering my son has. I thought he had white sebum balls in his hair but lately I have noticed there are single/double hairs attached to the large bulbs. I have never seen bulbs that big from any of my hair in all my 50 years! Do your hairs have large white bulbs attached?
My son has this and has had this for years. I was looking it up online today and found some thing called white piedra which is a fungal infection and treated by using ketoconazole and clotrimazole after washing. Oral meds maybe needed as it's stubborn. Whether it's the correct cause of yours or...
He's not on meds at the moment as his paediatrician wanted to try high salt/water intake first for the tachycardia and just keeping an eye on his MVP Capone.
Thanks Michael. I've just read a few of the posts. Looks really good but think he wouldn't use one at the moment. One of the guys mentioned hair fibres so I'm going to search the forums for this :) I'm still 'hoping' that I can find a natural alternative for him...even something that may thicken...
