I've read that the active ingredient, 1% ketoconazole, in Nizoral shampoo can cause liver damage and reduce testosterone levels. So, is Nizoral shampoo safe for long term use? I'd like to use it to help regrow my hair, instead of minozidil, because minoxidil gets absorbed through my skin too...

Thanks for your comments. Interesting comment about the placebo effect. I wish the racing heartbeat was just in my mind, but it's real, because it's effects lasts several days (ex. erratic beats, tingling) With regard to blood pressure, my blood pressure is usually on the high side...
