Looks great. I wish my 1b hairline looked like that. As is, it's unwearable with hair up because of the dots. I will need to either risk bleaching those knots and having the hair fall out or dye a blonde hair to 1b and hope I don't stain the lace. Neither solution is that easy, but no choice...
I notice lord hair has that problem with 1b. Seems like another round of bleaching (which could destroy the knots) or dyeing it from blonde to brown is the only solution.
I haven't yet tried uniwigs though. Do they have the same dark knot problem?
Amazing, thanks. I'm tempted to change one of my custom orders to 22 in the front inch and try that now actually.
The only concern I have is that the hair quality/thickness will be different with the 22 hair vs the 1b hair. Or is that unlikely to be an issue?
Thanks that's very helpful.
I have 2 custom pieces coming that are both 1b with bleached knots but I'll probably order a 3rd with front inch being 22 and try that method.
Very helpful. How do you apply the glue exactly? Just with fingers? It sounds like you basically lather it in thick underneath the lace rather than on top directly? Then just wash off after the dye is dried?
So I get the Koleston, get the Wella, mix them together (entire package of both?) and...
So I apply got2b glue to the front hairline (and maybe 1-2 inch into the hair system) and then just dye the hair using a color 3 dye? Obviously don't care about staining the lace if it's not visible. What brand do you recommend?
And how do I remove the glue after? Can I usd vaseline instead...
How difficult is it to dye 22 to 1b on lace with exposed hairline? My stylist did 3 to 1b before and stained the lace, permanently ruining it so now I just do 1b and try my best to hide the roots with an over dense hairline (better than the alternative and my side hair supports it).
After returning with the dyed piece, they were trying to gaslight me into believing the base always looked dark and that the stains were due to the hairline marker on my forehead (which they didn't fully erase). I didn't inspect closely enough to argue about it at the time.
Figured I'd try and...
So I went to a salon and asked for a bit of dye to my color 3 lace unit and they did a terrible job, making it near black instead of color 2 or 1b and staining the lace base in the process, plus covering the bleached knots.
I wear my hair up and forward so not a clean hairline show style but...
The more people know, the more likely you'll be detected. My ex gf had fake boobs and even though they were very high quality I could figure out telltale signs. Now I see such signs everywhere and it sort of ruins the magic. I wish I could remain ignorant.
Same will happen with hair systems if...
I've read several reports of inconsistent hair quality and stitching coming loose in their lace pieces and one member here recently noted that the hairline of his thinskin unit had a bald patch.
I would never use videos or marketing materials to assess quality of the hair system since of course...
