Has the fight against hair loss been worth it?

I've done some reading, mostly second-hand accounts of the documented success of propecia (on propecia.com) but I don't have the time right now to search for the published studies. Care to provide a link? Or perhaps it's my responsibility to look it up, as a character-building exercise in...

Has the fight against hair loss been worth it?

Sorry for bringing back this thread, but I have just now come across it. No I don't think it's implausible. I just think that the statement regarding propecia's success is often misconstrued. The 83% number is often thrown around as a probability, more specifically that a male has an 83%...

LOL. I don't know how that started, but it's still pretty damn funny.

Article regarding PCOS, male pattern baldness and insulin resistance

Yeah there are a few threads on this site regarding "insulin resistance"... 255 actually. I'm not going to sort through all of them just to prove that someone linked this article before.

Has the fight against hair loss been worth it?

Started treatments at 19, probably started losing at least a few years before that, and at 22 am much worse off than I was when I started. I can't say I regret it though, since I've really just done all that I can with the available information. Even if it slowed the loss down, I'd be...

    * Best * Hairloss * Site * Punk * EVER! *

As mentioned before, it was a poster with the name TynanW. Apparently there were some differences between him and the owners of this site that were never reconciled. It's a shame too; his posts were often hilarious. He posted under another name, Branco, in which he assumed a similar role...

HOW MANY PEOPLE HERE HAVE OR HAD SOCIAL ANXIETY?

I think you're probably just gay; are you using nizoral by any chance?

    Christianity and baldness

I'm not entirely sure why this thread was brought back, but anyway... bible thumpers are no less vain than the rest of the world. Anyone who tells you they aren't vain is either a liar or mother theresa, and mother theresa's dead.

HOW MANY PEOPLE HERE HAVE OR HAD SOCIAL ANXIETY?

I don't know many people that are perfectly comfortable in social situations, aside from people that are generally stupid and thus oblivious to the concept of social anxiety (frat boys...). However, hair loss certainly exacerbates social anxiety for me, and I imagine it does for many others.

    Diffuse balding is the worst

Right, the hair on the top of the scalp all thins out at more or less the same rate.

The real reason hair loss has not been cured yet

This is seriously one of the funniest threads I have read in a long time.
