i have fairly thick dark brown donor hair. If I were to hair them transplanted to hairline will they look weird or pluggy after time because of the hair shaft density?

Buddy don't worry at all your hair is absolutely fine. You don't need to do anything. Really. I would walk away from this site. Don't take anything. If you actually start to lose hair in like 7/8 years come back to the form and there will probably be a good treatment then. For now your golden.

Why don't you contact Hasson and wong for their topical solution. It is a topical, yes it is a prescription but it's not orally taken so I don't see why you couldn't use it. When you say "frowned" upon does that mean prohibited or... apperantly it's absorbed a little but worth a try in your case.
