No body in my family is seriously balding. I just turned 18 and I think I lose upto 100 strand of hair a day. I do apply coconut oil at least twice a week. This picture was taken right after a shower without drying my hair. Should I be worried? Is it a diet issue? I don't know what to do... :(

will need better photos. Some more candid shots of your crown ideally with a better camera and without all these awkward angles. If i had to guess I would say yeah there is some thinning going on there. However given your hair is wet and the less than ideal photos its hard to say definitively.
If you are thinning, over 99% of the time its because of male pattern baldness. It is very unlikely to be related to diet or anything other than genetics I am afraid.

Oils have nothing to do with hair loss, mate. Although a friend did tell me that using henna paste helps reduce hair fall significantly. I'd recommend ketoconazole (Nizoral) twice a week. Try that for a month and see if it helps.

Thanks for the reply! Even when my hair is dry it's more or less the same. My hair is wavy-ish so it kind of cover-up but does look pretty bad under harsh lighting. Are there any measures I can take to atleast slow it down?

Thanks I will! Does it stop balding or help recover what I've lost?

I can't believe it's happening to me! I'm just 18! It is getting noticeably bigger though. Had a head full of hair one year ago. However I did use Tresemme shampoo. I've read it does cause hair fall for some people?

I haven't tried the henna paste. So I can't say. However, I do think that you're being paranoid. Just keep an eye on your hair fall when you shower. Trust me. If your hair starts thinning, you won't need to ask about it. :)

Yes, you are. Don't f*****g doubt when you suspect even a little because initial hair loss until it stabilizes can hit you hard. You may lose 60% of your teenage hair in 6 months. Believe me, I started balding at 17.

Yes I will get it checked. Thanks for sharing. Did you do anything about your hair?
