Nope. I’m actually considering orals because apparently they seem to work better (and I think I would comply more with taking orals than using topicals). I’m concerned about sides but the suggestion seems to be they only occur in a small percentage of people and are reversible if you stop.

If I start finasteride / minoxidil then decide after a little while that I don’t want to take them due to side effects and shedding has already started will I be stuck with the shedded look or will my hair go back to the way it was before starting the meds?

Thanks for the comment. Have you had experience with this? Did you get side effects from topical? I assume the systemic effects of topical must be significantly lower than oral? Or maybe not.

Thanks again for the reply. I’m concerned that those side effects are legit enough for me to stay away from oral finasteride. I’d prefer not to mess with my body’s hormones. So the suggestion is that topical finasteride works almost as well as oral? Then should I just use topical finasteride...

Thanks for the reply. I have some health problems so feel particularly vulnerable to it plus it just doesn’t seem right to alter systemic testosterone levels. Is the topical finasteride as good and without side effects? Do you know how it compares to S5?

I don’t want to use Finasteride oral for fear of side effects. Is S5 / spironolactone similarly effective and if so does it have any side effects? Thanks
