I've been using Kirkland minoxidil for six months now, with good results.. the downside is that it gives me a flaky scalp. I'm looking for a reasonable priced alternative, are there other generic rogaine brands that don't leave any visible residu?

It does! It can even grow a nice 'classic-shaped' beard :)

In that case, you should be grateful :) finasteride is not a miracle cure. Slowing hairloss down is also a succes..

Stay on finasteride! I'm in the same boat. Proscar helped me maintain for four years, but my temples started receding faster than the French. I've added minoxidil to my regime with great results... perhaps you give minoxidil a try before switching to (imho, the last resort) dutasteride.

Increasing the finasteride dose won't do much, have you considered dutasteride? You could try minoxidil without ppg..

How often do you use nizoral? I also shed on nizoral, but only use it once a week. Got rid of inflammation, so i keep using it.. Maybe you apply too much/often?
