Hey Dev_Raj,
I actually continued applying Avodart and Aloe Vera gel topically for about 6 months, and it never stopped again. I think the big problem was the fact my testosterone was not being blocked in my scalp.
WesleyBelgium suggested adding topical spironolactone 2%...doing that, doesn't appear to...
Can anybody please explain to me exactly what happens when someone gets Telogen Effluvium from Propecia or Avodart? I think I might have this right now as I'm just losing an absurd amount of hair very rapidly. Like 200-300 a day.
El Duterino, who is the better supplier of RU58841? You mentioned a supplier better than Faith Eagle, care to share with the rest of us please? I just saw a bunch of ******* where the supplier name should have been. Was that intentional?
Hey Guys,
I used both generic and brand name versions of both Avodart and Propecia. I've been on brand name Avodart for just 1.5 months so its too early to tell if its doing anything form me.
Propecia slowed my hair loss down quite a bit. However, the past year and a half, around the same time...
People do use it, a lot. It just has not caught on in this hair loss forum at all for some reason. Here, everybody seems to only talk about Finasteride/Propecia.... go figure. I personally use Avodart/Dutasteride (not generic as generic sucks). I have been on it for 1.5 months, and have had a...
I once heard that foam works better because it keeps its potency while its in the can, unlike the liquid version which loses potency once it is opened up and mixed with other elements in the air and oxidizes I guess. Anybody else ever hear this?
Yeah I'm on Avodart and its causing me to have acne too. Right along the sides of my mouth and chin. I NEVER get acne, like once in a blue moon would I get one, and this causes me to get a good amount for some reason.
Yeah, I'm a diffuse thinner too, NOTHING has worked for me practically! However, topical Avodart and Propecia at two seperate times have briefly halted my hair loss.
I've tried it, the propylene glycol makes me itch way too much, had to get off of it, plus 2% doesn't do squat. Try the 5% cream instead and apply it to a damp scalp. I would not recommend getting off of Finasteride though, spironolactone is not a substitute for it at all.
I think for one thing you should tell your gf about it so she knows what's going on. You don't have to tell her why you're on the drug, but she will probably ask anyway, so expect to tell her. I heard Zinc supplements help with the erections, but I could be mistaken. Some other supplements help...
Hey Isaac,
For me, Rogaine foam acts a lot like mousse (sp?). It lets you style your hair and then dries in place. Minoxidil liquid you can apply, and then comb your hair, this provides a slight styling effect as well.
S5 cream is kinda like wax/paste for me. I apply it all over and it stiffens...
