Hey Guys,
I've been using the 5% foam in the mornings after I shower for about 3 months now. I don't notice any major change one way or another, but hope to see some new growth by the end of month 4. I haven't experienced any major shed, although I do think I went through a minor shed that...
Hey Guys,
I believe I would be a Norwood 2.5, receded temples and slight thinning on the crown - only really noticeable when the hair is wet.
Anyways, I decided to start on rogaine foam about a month ago. I'm starting to go through the initial shed I believe, but it isn't terrible.. At least I know...
Hey Everyone,
After considering all of my options and consulting with my dermatologist, I had decided that rogaine would be my best bet for treating my slight hair thinning in the crown.
Recently though, I had a small case of vertigo (bppv), and in the past I've had it on a few other occasions...
Thanks for the quick reply, sir chugalot - any and all other opinions would also be greatly appreciated.
I'll definitely look into some alternatives to propecia.. spironolactone seems like it might be a great option as well. Would you recommend starting on just spironolactone? or combining it with Min?

That's exactly what I thought initially.. And I could be completely unaware of how tolerance factors in to this, but:
Theoretically, if you got good results on 2%, continued for a few years and then moved to 5% once you started losing ground again... Wouldn't you be able to stay on minoxidil...
Also, my hair is medium length.. Maybe 3 - 4 inches long. I would really prefer to use the foam though.. Do you think it will be less effective? Just how greasy is the liquid version?
Thanks Rawtashk! This definitely clears some things up for me. If I need to down the road, I'll definitely consider propecia, but I have a hunch that because my hair loss seems to be slow and not very aggressive, I might be able to get away with just minoxidil for at least some time...
Best of...
I've recently noticed that my hair is thinning slightly around the crown area. It's not really noticeable unless I wet my hair and run my fingers through it, but it is definitely thinning slightly. I also have a bit of receding on my temples, although it is minimal.. I've always had a bit of a...
