Why do I keep getting the same problem????

hmm system length seems to be ok, as sometimes too short causes problems. What products are you using? Is the system like this right from the beginning or is it something that develops later? You may be washing your system too much. I'd only shampoo it once a week or when doing service (which...

Soaking a Unit: Oil or Alcohol? Pros & Cons to Each?

Try a towel soaked with a good amount of alcohol and rub. Should do the trick

Soaking a Unit: Oil or Alcohol? Pros & Cons to Each?

Straight up I used to buy “lace release” and c22 etc but in experience 99% alcohol (and yes it must be 99%, believe me ive tried 70% lol) is the way to go. C22 is way too oily for me, and the alcohol does the same job for me at least. I mean unless you’re really lagging in maintenance and the...

my supplier told me lace units are becoming a thing of the past

Lace is definitely not a thing of the past lol, imo its the best option out there. Its breathable and you can actually feel the water or wind run through your hair and head. You can adequately (not always) relieve an itch. Its the feedback i like so much if that makes sense. Me personally im...

After wearing for 2 years, I have decided to shave my head

I agree the system should be for you. If you are cool with being bald and accepting it, more power to you. I mean all of us who wear a system are bald or balding so theres that. For me I am a bit of a pain in the sense that when I want something i will do whatever it takes to get or achieve it...

Just how smart is it to run your system under hot water in the shower?

I mean it depends on how hot we’re talking lol. Personally I used to wet my system hair in the shower but now I dont, but im not worried if i do. The reason why is mainly the fact that the hair gets wet and takes long to dry, and then i have to restyle. Whereas now I just wash my natural hair or...

Can I just throw my lace piece in boiling water to get rid of residual glue?

Understood, I sometimes worry about the chemicals as well. However i'm willing to bet the tape does not breakdown and therefore absorb as much into your body but I'm definitely not an expert so don't take my word for it. I feel you about the wanting to forget about it. I used to do that 4...

Can I just throw my lace piece in boiling water to get rid of residual glue?

So you’re using only glue on your system or tape? Or both? I mean if youre in a situation where the glue is deep into the lace then unfortunately some rubbing and wear may occur just to get it out. I would spray some 99% alcohol directly on the glued up lace and then get a towel and dab some 99%...

Can I just throw my lace piece in boiling water to get rid of residual glue?

Hey! The idea here is that the soaking for long period will loosen the knots as they are more slippery when wet and with whatever product in the water. I actually used to soak as well but after hearing feedback from guys on here and then trying myself ive noticed less hair shed. I also find if...

Anyone know of a supplier that currently stocks lace pieces?

Hey everyone! hope all is well with everyone. Im wondering if anyone knows of where i can get my hands on a stock lace piece with poly perimeter. I know theyre scarce nowadays and my current provider is out. I have a custom order but it may take many months. im hesitant to go the thin skin...

Can I just throw my lace piece in boiling water to get rid of residual glue?

Honestly I would not boil it or deep soak. You gotta be gentle and use 99% alcohol on a towel and massage it gently. My issue with deep soaking or boiling is the knots may get loose. Just my experience I try to keep washing to a minimum. Good luck!

Taking My System Off Today For Good

Sorry to hear that man! I definitely think it had a lot to do with you having a thin skin system. Not sure why they would even recommend it at your salon in such hot climate. Hey at least you can say you tried!

First System - Tape Or Bond For Front Hairline

You can get away with tape all around for non exposed and if you do things properly, even semi exposed hairline. It must be in the shade so to speak though. A fully exposed hairline requires glue imo or that 3mil tape. Either way for you what you want tape is the easiest and cleanest option...

Honest First Four Day Experience, Is This All Normal?

Hey man! So the entire bond is glue? I'm assuming u have a full head bond as it's a full skin system? You might want to try tape along the perimeter and glue everywhere else but I've heard concern over potentially ripping the base if it's super thin. I'd wait for someone experienced in thin...
