What my Derm said about Propecia.

Difficult to tell. Not much different anyways.

Hair loss penetrates every aspect of my life

I don't know whether it's normal, I suspect not. I can tell you that you are by no means alone however. It's something that is with me wherever I go.

What my Derm said about Propecia.

Saw him today about non-hairloss issues. Discussed Propecia however and he said he didn't think 18 months was giving it enough time. He reckoned patients of his responded best around the 2 - 3 year mark. What y'all think of this? Most advice I've seen is to give it 12 months. Is it possible...

Rogaine - what's a fair crack of the whip?

How long would you guys say is a fair enough amount of time to evaluate minoxidil e.g. Rogaine foam? 6 months, 12 months?

    Dutasteride - worth a go?

I quit Propecia about 5 months ago after 18 months on it as I didn't think it was helping to even maintain my hair. I gave up on Rogaine foam too at the same time after 6 months use for the same reason. Since then I've been using no treatments. It's been hard to come to terms with the fact that...

    Worth a last stand?

Bulletfrost - I appreciate where you're coming from and it is tempting to just say f*** it and buzz it all down. Trouble is I have complications like scalp psoriasis plus I don't have a face suited to baldness. So if something else can be done I'm interested in trying it. As Sir Chugalot...

    How many of you

I have them a lot. Suffer severe, treatment reistant depression. It's not all due to hair loss though and I had my first bout when I still had good hair. It's a combination of things with me e.g. having skin diseases and going bald is not good. I've been off work for several months and am in...

    Apple Cider Vinegar... part II

Should it be drunk on an empty stomach? Before a meal or after? Tip: If diluted with black current squash and water the taste is bearable. Keep another cup of just squash & water to rinse out afterwards.

Regaine Foam (UK) Exists and is available from Boots! WTF.

Thisisme, Biovea have just added Foligain 5% minoxidil foam at £29.95 for a 3 month supply. It's even cheaper if you buy in bulk.

    Foligain Minoxidil foam?

Just seen that some kind of generic 5% minoxidil foam is available from Biovea. It's much, much cheaper than rogaine foam. Has anybody used it though? Anyone have feedback on it?

Regaine Foam (UK) Exists and is available from Boots! WTF.

If you buy the 12 month supply I think it works out at £17.50 a month.

    Short contact rogaine?

Would it be worth applying rogaine foam for just 2-3 hours? I don't like the way it makes my hair look so I only use it overnight (applied about 10:30pm) . I often get up around 5 or 6 a.m and could apply another lot at that time before showering at 8a.m.
