Been lurking forums for 10+ years, so no surprise. I still remember Intercytex, Aderans, and Trichoscience (now Replicel). Aderans later had that silly timeline with the Elvis Homer Simpson. Our dreams were supposed to come through in 2014. Ironically I ended up starting finasteride in 2014…...
Dr. Biernaskie is the Canadian that effectively validated Replicel’s approach back in 2014. It appears he is still doing studies on mice to understand the cells better but no major breakthroughs. Hopefully Shiseido can actually apply this to humans.
Weird response from Shiseido but the poster on the far right is clearly Replicel technology. Saw the other poster from them as well related to DSCc. They are clearly invested into the technology.

Quote from page 4 (link below). That is a rather bold claim to make before results are even finalized.

I recall Jeff Biernaskie made news around 2014 when he basically rediscovered RepliCel's approach of using dermal sheath cup cells.
He must be doing a lot of research into regenerating hair.
Out from lurking to answer the call. Donated $100 and can go more if required later.
No specific questions at this point. Should be interesting this year.
I heard from Replicel CEO, Mr. David Hall himself. He stated it was a significant dose, and that they were dosing down. That was in an interview made over four years ago after they released their Phase I/IIA results.
HairSite used to be the best boards years ago in terms of knowledgeable...
They announced back in April downsizing noncritical staff. I always figured she was part of that but her linkedin shows she stopped working for RepliCel in February. Either way their social media and web site hasn't been the same since she left RepliCel...
I thought they let go their communications person (Tammy George) a few months ago. Not surprisingly, communication has stopped on their website and Facebook since. I am assuming they did it to reduce costs, because she was always good about replying.
RepliCel does not use dermal papilla cells. I was under the impression from the hellouser interviews that they thought their cells (dermal sheath cup cells) maintained their function.
Ancient version of Kerastem?
There was more optimism 10 years ago and nothing materialized.
Even if the cure was found tomorrow, I will be over 40 before it can complete FDA approval.
It is clear with RepliCel, even the Japanese with their new regulations still move at the speed of government.
