Benjt, do you think it is dht or the receptor sensitivity? I think local 5ar is definitely not good, and looking at food or supplements may help lower this are usually all going to have good effects on overall health.
Ive been looking into oxidative stress recently and how this all ties in...
Its massively complicated.
I think the body is reacting wrongly to dht "for some reason"...something is causing this reaction. a hyper sensitive AR makes sense, "why" its sensitive is currently seen as genetic.
Although the increase in male pattern baldness usually with age yet the androgen levels drop and...
no.
Naturally lowering dht and chemically destroying dht are 2 completely different things.
Anyhow, Im hopeful that in the coming years we will all finally see that DHT isnt the problem.
Fred the belgian please leave the experimental section. You should allow people to be as delusional or illusional as they please without smearing your personal insecurities on them.
Kind regards
I know lots of males whos father is bald and they arent.
Also consider our androgen receptors come from our mothers.
Very complicated indeed working in the current paradigm. Gene expression is also something to consider.
I dont fully understand it. But it seems high serum dht isnt a problem. But high salivary dht is another matter and is linked to male pattern baldness.
I personally dont think dht should be feared etc... High 5 alpha reductase i would try to balance.
like benjt is getting at, theres something missing...
"1) People are not balding more/faster than a few decades ago.
2) I believe the androgen receptors get more and more sensitive with age: in fact I think they get more sensitive in proportion to the drop in testosterone and DHT. Result? More balding men/hair loss."
Koga i dont mean decades...
Hi benjt nice topic.
On 2... From what I gather so far, it seems elevated local 5AR can play a big part.
Then I wonder - why elevated 5ar - and then you look at modern life and see
many reasons why — inflammation.
Finding the cause of inflammation seems to be tricky, and it seems
many people...
I think it points to the fact that there's no magic bullet so to speak.
A multi-faceted approach is definitely needed, physical and mental.
PR said he wanted to become an equol producer, and this is linked to gut health
and gut health can link to inflammation etc etc...
let's all keep...
benjt hits nail on head.
the whole point of all this is to keep trying and failing or succeeding.
embrace failure, not fear it like fred the baby.
does anyone remember princess rambos results?
they were amazing!
there are too many factors involved in all this to
be pessimistic and blame it all...
The humour and spirit from squeegee was priceless.
nearly all the cursing and bad words are just words at the end
of the day... his main motive seemed to be keep pushing on
with a pro-active mindset.
shame hes not allowed back.
Yes dr matte it seems the dermaroller makes wound healing.
and dissolves the scar tissue to be remodelled.
I do think the 'healing' part is critical, and therfore i'd imagine
better heaing from an optimized body... (diet and lifestyle come into play)
2young great spirit going on.
There is definitely merit to the dermarolling and in 6months if everyone keeps
up we will have more answers.
I think with male pattern baldness everyone is different, and some things that work well for one person
might not be so good for another.
