Im a little late here, but I’ve officially started finasteride (1mg) as of last Friday. I’m 19 years old, with a history of male pattern baldness on my mom’s side (Uncle and grandfather with thin hair/bald spot, great-uncle who’s bald). I hope to use this thread to track my progress, and any advice is appreciated!

How bad is a Norwood 1.5 in the grand scheme of things? I’m gonna get started regardless, but I’m not sure how normal that looks for a 19 year old. I’m already at the “combover” point.

Will do. How does my hairline look for now? I’m only 19 and I have a history of baldness on one side of my family. It might not look too concerning right now but after just a month, I’ve had to go from styling my hair back to wearing it like a combover. Hence why I’m in a bit of a panic.
