Turkey Still a Good Option ?

Hello all I live in the UK and am eager to go ahead with a transplant procedure to repair an eroded hairline (maturing, uneven). I was initially looking to North America but after much thought, I realize the distance makes it non-viable (travel time as well as costs make it unfeasible). I...

Top North American hair transplant practices?

FUE definitely. Really? I am actually based in UK, and have been advised in the past to go to Europe/North America for FUE because we don't have any good practices here for it! Thanks

Top North American hair transplant practices?

Thank you for your responses. I will look into these suggestions. I guess, when it comes to choosing, it just comes down to looking at what is most appealing for you as an individual? In my case it is trying to create a stronger hairline, so I should be looking out for surgeons particularly...

Top North American hair transplant practices?

Hello guys I'm looking to get a hair transplant, hopefully this summer to fix an eroded hairline. It has been maturing, but no balding behind it. I'm 26. I want to get it touched up and straightened out. I've been in contact with New Hair Institute (LA) which is one possibility. I know more about them...

Can anyone recommend a UK FUE surgeon

Hello everyone I am desperate to have some work done on my hairline. My hairline has been maturing slowly for about 5 years and it's got to the stage where I can't hide the horrible V shape anymore. It makes me look a lot older. Unfortunately I have super fine hair, and so losing the straighter...

Minoxidil: 0.5g per corner too much? Dispense into the cap?

Can anyone else offer any input? To put the question a different way, is 1g of minoxidil foam an arbitrary guideline/limit which has been set to avoid serious side affects associated with overdose (heart rate, chest pains etc)? Or is there some kind of ideal dosage in proportion to the surface...

    girls don't care!

Hair isn't strictly about women and it's wrong to suggest it. That's just one small part of it. It's about self-identity.

Can someone help me with graft count and Doctor?

I'm in a similar situation to you so I feel your pain. I'm 25 and my hairline has been forming the dreaded V shape for some time now and I want to get it touched up. However like others said, 24 is probably too young for surgery. Not sure if it is an ethical decision for your Doctor's to...

I'm scared of shedding...if I put minoxidil just below my existing hairline would....

I remember Dr Rassman at baldingblog saying that minoxidil shouldn't effect normal, healthy hairs anyway. Here's the blog post: http://baldingblog.com/2013/09/09/does-rogaine-cause-hair-loss-in-normal-hairs-after-i-stop-using-it/ "Rogaine (minoxidil) should not impact normal hair in any...

Minoxidil: 0.5g per corner too much? Dispense into the cap?

Hi guys Sorry for yet more questions about this medication, I haven't found good answers to these yet... I'm a 25 y/o male with some hairline corner recession which started when I was about 20/21. I guess the pattern is heading towards NW2, at this stage it might just be 'maturation' but I've...

I'm scared of shedding...if I put minoxidil just below my existing hairline would....

Oh I see what you mean - you don't want to put minoxidil directly on your hairline, as you don't want to cause a shed. Instead, you want to put it on the parts underneath that have already lost the hair. 2 problems with this: 1. It's hard to regrow hair on a part of the head that has already...

    Using minoxidil once daily

I've been using it once daily - spreading out two applications by 12 hours is just too difficult throughout the week, and it also makes your hair look bad if you apply it in the morning

    Will start using Minoxidil

it's worth a try but if you don't have any noticeable regrowth after a year, then maybe give up using in that area, and just use it at the hairline edges to try and head off any future loss.
