Are you wearing a custom unit? You can get custom with density to better match your bio hair. Also, try and keep back and sides shaved in short to minimise the difference.

Yes, the heat will dry out the hair and shorten its lifespan. Let it air dry as much as you possibly can and use the drier on the lowest setting if you must use it (I do, but I try to keep it cold).

I would say Walker no-shine is probably a good idea for the hairline, but I get so much shine through the lace with it that you'd think I had varnished my head!
