    Thorn Medical claims cure

I'm getting to the point that I'd just as soon the "cure " would be a transplant. Grow my hair somewhere else, make sure there is 0% I get tumors or cancer, then give me a full head of hair. No altering my cells in my body. No drugs and risk of sides. This company may be moving in that...

    Celebrate hair!

It probably is just me, but I hate when someone of fame gets hair and says they feel better. http://www.foxsports.com/buzzer/story/brian-urlacher-hair-implants-restoration-chicago-bears-010516 All of a sudden, they look better on TV. Up close is a different matter. Who looks closer at our...

Hair regeneration similar to muscle regeneration?

In this free full text they describe novel findings regarding androgen effects on early satellite cell migration to repair muscle injury. It got me thinking about timing of androgen levels and timing of regeneration phase of the follicle. They also explore how to regenerate muscle via the AR but...

Large panel to find difference in male pattern baldness vs non male pattern baldness

Androgen Receptor sensitivity is a variable is it not? Hard to hit a constantly moving target. What makes the target move?

    Growth-factor cocktail...the ingredients

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25706512 Again, just because it works on a mouse doesn't mean it will work on us but, this is a different approach.

    DPC/DSC plus wound restores hair

The injected DPC/DSC cells were propagated from the "whisker" hairs. I wonder about the characteristics of the new hairs. Are they more corse than the otherwise native hair? Would this same procedure work using donor region hair?

    DPC/DSC plus wound restores hair

Pretty amazing stuff and could be just what the hair transplant's are looking for. Since the hair is still there even in the bald scalp, I wonder if an accurate wound plus both DPC/DSC injected could restore the miniaturized hair? http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25689375

Hypoxia induces expression of connective tissue growth factor in scleroderma skin fib

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24999590 Is our balding hair actually casualties of a battle between the different layers or our skin?

New study: Using stem cells to grow new hair

Thank you for those quotes by Dr. Gardner. Do they not highlight that Androgenetic Alopecia is not only a hair problem but a scalp problem? Do these quotes not support theory of an indirect component in Androgenetic Alopecia?

New study: Using stem cells to grow new hair

"In adults, dermal papilla cells cannot be readily amplified outside of the body and they quickly lose their hair-inducing properties," said Terskikh. "Our next step is to transplant human dermal papilla cells derived from human pluripotent stem cells back into human subjects," said Terskikh.
