    Reasons to drink green tea.

Ok thanks for the input! I stopped at my local coffee shop on the way to work and got a green tea with lemon and honey. I figure I can stop the honey after I get used to the taste. I also purchased a box of the tea they use, Revolution Green Tea, to keep on hand at the office for my...

Do side effects go away after quitting?

How old are you? It might just be the natural aging process as well. Is your diet healthy? Do you exercise? Are you under stress at work? Lots of things can cause what you describe. It very well may be the finasteride, but there are a lot of other causes as well.

    Secondary finasteride shed

Hi, when I first started on the finasteride, my shedding stopped almost completely after maybe week 3. At about month 3 I started to noticeably shed at a high rate. It would come in bursts. Shed a lot at night, then slowly, if at all, for a day or two, then another burst. I'm at month 4 now...

    Quitting Propecia

Hi, I'm not posting to be snarky or anything, but most people will only post if there is a problem. Going by anecdotal evidence on a message board is really going to give you a bad perception on just about any product. As to my experience, after a month or two on finasteride, people who hadn't seen...

    Reasons to drink green tea.

For green teas, is it terrible to use anything but stuff you brew yourself? There are a lot of pre-made green teas in the supermarket akin to an Arizona Iced Tea and the like. Am I ok drinking those? I like the taste, and am trying to cut down my cola and coffee intake for health reasons...

    Here we go!!!

Almost a month has gone by since I first started shedding. It has slowed substantially, but my hair level is about back to where it was in late November when I first started the propecia. Hopefully, from here out it maintains until the regrowth starts. Thanks for the advice and comments, by...

    Here we go!!!

Just FYI the shedding slowed/stopped after that day. Maybe it was something I ate? lol I was travelling that week and had forgotten my finasteride at home so I had a break of like three days without it, maybe that was it? Anyway, everything seems to be back to normal right now.

3 months on big 3...2nd shed! love it!

Going through that now. All my shedding stopped 2 weeks after the finasteride, so I hoped like mad I would escape the shed stage. sadly I'm about 3mos in now and I've had an explosion of shedding just today with some wicked itching along with it. It's a combination of the very fine stuff, as well...

    Here we go!!!

Or should I say there it goes! I've entered month 3 on Propecia plus or minus a couple of weeks and just today I got the sheds! I've been dreading this point, and was kind of hoping I would get spared this step! After a couple of weeks on Propecia I noticed all shedding stopped in its...

    Noob in need of advice:

I agree! Propecia is in the works, I just need to get to the Doctor for a prescription, and Nizoral is on the shopping list for my next Supermarket run. I just started a new job, so I'm waiting a couple of weeks before asking for a day off for a doctor's visit. ;) My aim was to hit all the...

    Noob in need of advice:

Update: After a week of treatment, noted above, I have seen a dramatic reduction in the amount of shedding. I have a nervous habit of running my hand through my hair, and after doing so I would normally see a couple of hairs fall out as well as a couple on my hands. This has been going on...

    Noob in need of advice:

I'lll try to post some pics tonight. When my hair is dry and cut short it looks normal. When it's wet, or I grow it out it really shows. I have noticed the quality of the hair itself degrading, each individual strand is getting thinner, and for lack of a better word, feels 'deader'. Are...

    Noob in need of advice:

Hey all: I'm 37 and in good health. I still have a full head of hair but it is starting to thin out. I didn't realise it at the time but I must have been thining the last few years and now I notice. Anyone not familiar with my hair when I mention that I'm losing it thinks I'm crazy but I...
