I think I read the study CCS was talking about which compared spironolactone flutamide and a 3rd drug I can't remember : but he forgot that we are talking about flutamide in a completely new vehicle gel !!!! p.s. I have been using spironolactone 2% on my temples ( for 2 months) with no results at all!!!!!!

Ian , I had suggested that you drop propecia as soon as an effective topical comes out .. never advised you to stop propecia and wait until a new proven topical is marketed

Apparently dutasteride gives sides to a whole lot of people !!! my personal advice: don't even think about resorting to dutasteride unless , of course, you want to start popping two pills a day ( the second one being v**** ).. wait for some effective topicals to hit the market and then drop propecia as well!!!

Hair sucks, I am pretty sure that any new FDA-approved drug coming out in the next few months /years will definitely be better than propecia. And it ain't diffucult to understand why . ALL of the new drugs you mentioned are being developed specifically for male pattern baldness and not for any other medical...

A topical antiandrogen would be highly desirable for male pattern baldness sufferers because current oral medications (propecia and dutasteride ) do mess up with your hormones and to my mind that's definitely a major side effect we should try to avoid... besides propecia and dutasteride have been developed...
