I'm not sure how. But I don't think reputable doctors like Hasson and Wong would be doing anything illegal, let alone advertising the illegal action on their website. Like you said. The laws probably differ from state to state.
On their website, they say they are doing at least 1 FUE procedure per day in a addition to however many strip procedures they are performing for that day. But it also states that their technicians do the extractions. I'm assuming that techs would be implanting the grafts as well so the...
I think that FUE extraction might not fall under "surgery" although I agree with you that it should. And I would definitely feel more comfortable having done research on the person who would be doing my extractions. But even the best doctors out there (Lorenzo, Hasson, Wong) are using...
That's disappointing to hear. Any link to that thread? Seems like the only ones to have maintained their rep are Hasson and Wong. I remember names like Cole and Feller were considered elite.
Do some research on Dr. Lorenzo in Spain. That's who I'm considering going to. His results stand on their own. Hasson and Wong are considered the best doctors in North America by many people. They chose Dr. Lorenzo as on one of the doctors to learn the FUE technique from.
It sounds like you would like to fill in as it falls out which I don't think is a good strategy. Hair transplants are very expensive and unless you're rich, it's not something you want to be doing every year for a touch up. Unfortunately, you do have to suffer through some baldness before...
JB48, Are you wanting to have FUE or a strip surgery done? I think North America's top doctors are more known for their FUT/strip method surgeries. To mention 2 names that haven't been mentioned yet: Feller and Diep.
I agree with you. But at that point, if you're in the chair, and the extractions have been made, and then the doctor walks out and the techs start to do the recipient area, what can you do? You're kind of stuck at that point. I guess this is very important information to get before agreeing...
What's more important in an FUE hair transplant? The technical skill and patience of the extraction process? Or the artistry of implanting the grafts at the correct angle? Who is more suitable for each? In the hair transplant profession is the doctor more of the "artist" while the techs have...
I know they have and excellent reputation and have been world renowned for their strip surgeries for many years. They do also offer FUE surgeries but I haven't heard much about patient results. I'm looking through their gallery but the photos don't seem to reference wether or not it was strip...
Thanks for sharing your experience. So the nurses/techs did all the extracting and the doctor did the implanting correct? Isn't it supposed to be the other way around with the doctor doing the extracting? Especially with the risk of transection I would think the extraction process is the more...
I don't know anything about Dr. Charles. But I have been out of the loop on these forums for a few years. Maybe someone else would know. I do know that the great doctors in the U.S. can probably be counted on one hand and chances are you would have to travel quite a distance to go to a great...
You and I have a very similar pattern. A transplant is an option but make sure you go to a top surgeon because the crown requires a lot of skill. And you need to understand that the crown is a deceptively large area to cover so even with a transplant, your hair may never be full to the point...
I would think shaving your head allows the surgeon to be more precise and will increase the quality of the results. When having a procedure like this done, you want to cut down the margin for error as much as possible.
