Forgot to add- since I stopped oral finasteride and switched to topical
bizarrely I’m only shedding about 10 hairs during a wash but previously it was prob 40 or so
Hi all
had a frontal hair transplant 2.3k grafts in January 2021 just gone- and have been on finasteride since November 2020.
what I noticed was it completely stopped any hair shedding from month 1-3 then around late March or early April I started to get shedding like before (dose 1mg x 3 times a week)
continued...
Oh Mesotherapy- I went to a clinic who does that in Uk, he actually talked me out of it. He said you’ll get the same
Results being on minoxidil and to just start taking finasteride- as once u do mesotherapy, it’s lifelong and the results aren’t even that good in his opinion (this is coming from a guy...
just completed my FUE hair transplant with Dr Tam on the 12/01/21, 2,300 grafts on frontal area. Was an amazing experience from start to finish with Dr Tam, I have been suffering from mild hairloss since 2013 which initially only affected frontal right temple. But since 2019 it seemed to...
I’m going to stick to the oral finasteride 3 times a week and topical minoxidil- see how that goes. If it’s still shedding after a month then I’ll go back to the old routine topica finasteride only
Also forgot to add- when I stopped rogaine I didn’t get any flaky skin on scalp. I’ve got psoriasis but under good control
but since using rogaine last night, getting scabs where it was applied in morning
I’ve been using minoxidil for few years now- noticed increase hair shedding and thinning on top and frontal since April just gone.
I stopped minoxidil (Rogaine) about a month ago-
switched to Morr-f which is Finasteride/ minoxidil
don’t know if it’s a coincidence but shedding decreased...
What’s also interesting is that they said even at small doses it accumulates in your system over time which can be bad so to avoid that- simply quite for a month up to 2 months at the very most- every 5-6 months then resume again.
Okay- according to those Australian doctors- 3mg per week split into 1mg Mon,We’d,Fri is the minimum dosage for finasteride to work BUT they also stress it would depend on the person, age and level of progression. There’s no magic formula for all and their advice is see what works for you.
Hi guys,
first time on the forums posting as I’ve noticed quite aggressive hairloss this year. I’ll post a pic of my hairline in summer 2018 and you can see a massive difference to present.
i have been on MTX (methotrexate 10mg weekly) for the past 7 yrs and initially it only caused very slow...
I actually just saw a review of his last night completely by chance- think the patient only had around 1.3k grafts but his donor area was over-harvested. And he wasn’t cheap either
