Zink to prevent sexual sides from finasteride

My doctor suggested I should take zink with finasteride and that might prevent sexual sides? Why would he say that?

It's spelled 'zinc' (Sorry, grammar police here!)

Enden has a thread where he's posted a bit on it...from what I recall zinc acts to either directly or indirectly (unsure which) help the body get its test/estrogen ratio back under control.

So it might actually help keep the hormones balanced when you start taking finasteride. Interesting.

Yes, zinc works as an aromatase inhibitor, and inhibits conversion of testosterone to estrogen. Both increased and decreased estrogen level is known to cause sexual problems. Use 50-100 mg a day, if he didn't propose any dose. Quit if your joints begin to crack. It indicates that the estrogen level is too low.
