Zinc PCA

I rotate shampoos periodically for my seb derm, and I've been using one recently called Dermarest with salicylic acid and Zinc PCA as the main ingredients. Zinc PCA is supposed to reduce DHT and sebum output on the scalp, but I am using it more for its anti-seborrheic qualities than its potential anti-hairloss qualities because it seems to be pretty effective.

I know Zinc pyrithione has been shown to slightly decrease hair thickness, etc, but does anyone know if Zinc in general is bad for hair health? I really hope not, because I rotate this with the Ginger Body Shop shampoo and Loprox shampoo and it's the best combo i've found for controlling my scalp problem.

BTW, for those of you with flaking and itching on the scalp, I would recommend giving Dermarest shampoo a try - it worked much better for me than other shampoos with salicylic acid as the main ingredient, such as T-Sal.
