I've been told by my doctor to take zinc along the finasteride. I took it for 7 months continuously, it made my overall hair stronger but my hair line started to thin out way too fast. The loss was gradual before but after this it accelerated a lot and caused me to lose more than 1/4" hairline. Then I stopped taking it for three months and hairline thinning halted alot but overall hair went dull and dead somehow. I then started taking it again 10 days ago and hair line has again started to thin out making me wonder if it would be wise to continue it or I should find an alternative. I was taking 20 mg zinc a day.
