Hi, i'm 17 years of age, and have a full head of hair, yet recently i took notice of the fact that my (i think they're called) temples are basically, non existent!

Now my enquiry is; is this normal? or am i receding? now i have heard of a ''mature hairline'' but due to the fact my father has a very far back hairline and thinning at the age of 35, i'm quite concerned, does the fact that my hair (colour, texture etc) is nothing like what my dads used to be matter? or can i still have the same pattern of hairloss?

If any help, my mothers father has a basically full head of hair, so does my fathers dad, and my hair is most like the latter, i'm not entirely sure if my mothers brothers are bald as they do shave their heads (probably has something to do with it hehe)

Here are the pictures:

Thankyou in advance!

can you go into more detail as to why i'm paranoid, if you don't mind? a reply as simple as that doesn't set my mind at rest, which is why i'm here in the first place, it just makes me think your a wee kid trying to look like he/she knows what they're talking about, don't get me wrong i'm not saying you are, it'd just be good and i'd be more grateful if you went into a little more depth than that!

at this stage it could just be your hairline maturing a bit, but it does look a little less straight and possibly a bit more miniaturised than the 'baseline' hairline. id just say take a photo every 3 months and measure it from there.

yup you're paranoid

But my opinion doesn't count, I'm just a wee kid who wants to impress all the guys on a hairloss forum with his expertise :punk:
