Shave /crop your hair short. The only positive of losing it as an earlirr age is that people will get used to that look on you. Chances are you may look fine with it shaved/short. Worrying about hair loss is far worse than the loss itself i think.

Going to book an appointment with my doctor next week, will ask questions etc. But I will most likely start propecia

Do not do this. No ethical doctor will give you finasteride at your age. You will stunt your sexual and mental growth.

This is the only option I have.. Minoxidil clearly won't be strong enough and if side effects creep up I'll stop. You can clearly see how aggressive my male pattern baldness is, I can't rely on min. finasteride is honestly my only option

I think people say 18 as just a rule of thumb puberty is different for every one. If you could grow a full beard at 14 or 15 that is earlier so you'd most likely be done earlier than other people. I dk Im not a doctor though thats just my bro logic.

Listen man, at this stage all you can do is fiddle around with nizoral, minioxidil and possibly finasteride.

Wear a hat, take your drugs and smile more.

next step is getting a good job so you can get a transplant in the near future.

it's not rocket science, and nobody can give you a particular answer. At your age you could very well be bald by the time your 20 or if you're lucky retain it.

/end

I know how you feel, most these blokes can't relate. Trust me! Maybe Fred, and a couple others.

I was balding at 16, skinny and hiding behind a make shift messy hair and fitted hat for my entire teenage years. Fortunately for me, and my crowd a hat was part of our style so it wasn't that big of a feal. We all wore hats.

Mate, their is realy nothing you can do exepect fiddle with drugs, and get a transplant in the future at 21.

I'm not going to sugar coat anything. That's the cards we were dealt..

How in the world do you know how you will react to minoxidil? You don't. Just because people on this forum say something does not mean it is 100% true for everyone. I'm only 20 and balding and I know you're younger but it has severely impacted my quality of life, so I know how you feel. Minoxidil will slow your hair loss down... You have an 80% chance that it does SOMETHING for you. Keeping your expectations realistic while on any hair loss treatment is key, and realizing it will take time and diligence to apply minoxidil

Yeah man, I guess a lot of people are not grateful for what they have but its just how this world works.

Did you pay for your hair transplant yourself and where did you take it? I don't know if you've seen the clinic in Turkey- Istanbul, they do FUE transplants and their work looks amazing. And also did it take a long time for you to save up for your transplant? I have no source of income right now and was just wondering if the question is not too personal

It was a Westboro Baptist Church joke with a bald twist.

I'm about to get on finasteride at 17 and I haven't grown a ton of facial hair. Admittedly my beard genetics and family history tell my I won't grow one. Did finasteride stunt your development of a beard? Did you have a beard before you started finasteride?

Make sure to go to a doctor. Don't use anything that might harm your scalp. Don't believe in products that you might think are good enough. Its advisable to let your doctor to check your concern first.

I'm on generic Propecia right now and i'm 17, I also have not had any side effects. Really, if you plan on keeping your hair, you have to get finasteride.
