Xandrox 5% question???

Hello, I'm going NW3 and I think I'll start minoxidil right away ( I'm on Propecia and nizoral since 11 weeks ) to hope to keep what I have now.

I'm wondering if I should start twice a day with 5% xandrox or just use it once a day???

Also should I get minoxidil only (product 500) or buy the one with azelaic acid???

If you use it in the morning, does your hair look like scrap during the whole day???

Do you get a shed for sure on 5%??

shedding is not the norm, the majority of people will not shed, of those that do, the shed will not be significant to be considered cosmetic, in the very worst case scenario up to 10% of your hairs which are already about to shed (with minoxidil or not) can be lost, even this will not have a big cosmetic effect.


Xandrox is greasy and takes a while to dry (similar but a bit faster than Rogaine) and in my case leaves my hair looking a little crap. Standard Minoxidil (Product 500) drys very very quickly and does not leave a greasy residue, nor any real detremental effect on the look of my hair.

Standard Minoxidil (product 500) is just that, Standard Minoxidil, it dries very quickly and can be used 10 minutes before your court appearance.

As soon as you add Azelaic Acid Dr Lee calls the formula Xandrox.

So Xandrox is simply Dr Lees name for Minoxidil with Azelaic Acid.

Dr Lee's Xandrox (both 5% and 15%) for whatever reason is greasy and slow drying, not as bad a s Rogaine but still a pain in the *** if you have been used to his excellent fast drying standard minoxidil (product 500)

The reason Azelaic Acid is added is for its DHT inhibiting properties ( https://www.xandrox.com/azelaic.htm )

So choices, choices, what do you want ?

There are many combinations.

I use Xandrox 15 at night and Xandrox 5 in the morning, but I 'work' from home so can potter around with cooking oil on my head if I want.
I also have a couple of bottles of Standard Minoxidil (product 500) in case I need to leave the house early like normal humans.

I use xandrox 5 in the morning (dries in 30 mins) xandrox 15 in the evening (never dries). i wash my hair two hours after the application (Dr. Lee says it is ok and additional time on the scalp will not make a significant difference).
