I can only speak for myself, but I have had no side effects at all. I love my spironolactone!

Are there any tests that would tell me for sure if I was having sides? Last time I went to the doctor about finasteride side effects he just brushed off the ideas of any tests because he said that all males have levels of estrogen already.
I was thinking of adding spironolactone tablets to my minoxidil. Do any of you know if spironolactone will neutralize if disolved in min.hair_tomorrow said:scribe99 said:...

I'm not certain if there are any official medical tests to determine gyno or not - but you've really got to be careful - as breast enlargement is a very gradual and not so noticeable process - untill it's too late.
Lumps are another thing entirely and probably a lot easier to self-detect w/ regular self-checks..
After 7 months on finasteride - my wife remarked that my tits were getting bigger than hers - I just shrugged it off and didn't think too much of her comment.
But then I saw a picture of myself that someone had taken of me that summer by the pool - and damn if I didn't have a very perky set.
You just have to eyeball it I guess. Breast enlargement-wise anyway. If you feel your breasts and / or nipples getting sensitive - to the point where your nipple hurts or burns when it rubs on the inside of your shirt - you're probably developing a problem.
I'm sure it's much less of a problem on spironolactone than finasteride - but there are reported cases. Saw Palmetto too.
Great info man. Thanks alotOld Baldy said:It will dissolve real well from what veteran posters have said but it gets stinky. So I haven't tried it. I mix it with neutral cream based on Bryan's 3 percent recipe. ( Use 6, 100mg tablets to 20ml of cream - mixes very well - no problems with odor either.)
Btw, it's cosmetically acceptable too! You can use it even if you go out.
