Hey everybody, just thought id say I broght some courve and wow! This stuff really does cover up hair loss! Quite cheap too, seeing as though a small thing will last 3 - 4 months!

Anybody else using courve? What do you think of it? I might get some toppik later, my hair loss is totally unnoticable now :)

I cannot recommend the stuff more highly. If you have black or really dark hair, then the stuff is absolutely flawless for people with thinning hair, buy some right away. For us blondes its harder to use. But experiment with it and if you get it just right it works perfectly. Ive mentioned the technique of applying over night and washing your hair with water only in the morning on a few couvre threads. Ive found it to be the best way to use it if you have light hair.

I would be a much less social person if it wasn't for couvre.

and no i dont work for them or anything 8)

what is it exactly?

It covers up your thinning hair and makes your hair SEEM thicker but what it is actually doing is, the courve (A cream that is the same as your hair colour, your rub it on your scalp) blends in with your scalp so your head of hair seems FULLER and thicker.

Mike, I will try your trick.. Seems like a good idea, I just showered now to test it out.. Its still there and my hair feels like I havnt thinned out ANYWHERE, if only this was my real hair :(

i'll have to try this when my hair gets bad.. so you put this on your hair and scalp? does it look natural.. if you're out in the rain does the color leak on your forehead, etc? i had a sample of toppik with the spray and didn't like it. but i'll have to try couvre when my thinning becomes noticible. by the way mike, does it really last 3 to 4 months even if it's used everyday?

Courve is made by the same company who made Toppik. Toppik does DEFFINETLY come out easier with rain, but Courve is some very hard stuff to get off! It will only get off with a shampoo, I just tried washing my hair with it and it never came off at all!

Oh and it deffinetly looks natural, makes my hair feel like my old hair :(
It is prefered to apply it on your scalp because it blends in with the hair, but if you get it on your hair its ok as it does add extra thickness.

My hair is mainly noticeable in the Vertex but everywhere else is diffused, and this stuff DEFFINETLY makes my hair look more natural.

I will post some pictures up when I get the chance mate :)

thanks for the description...i just get this picture in my head that it just colors your scalp and doesn't look natural.. but i guess it's better than that from what you said. i'll have to buy it..and i'll take your word for it.. my hair is thinning in the front...by the way when i comb my hair forward it's not noticible at all.. no one i know thinks i'm losing my hair when i tell them...i guess it's difuse as well..my hairline isn't receding..at least not like how most balding people's hairline recedes..i'm lucky, my g\f is a hairdresser and she conceals it, layers it, etc... to make it unnoticible..anyways..i'll have to use this to make my hair even thicker.. thanks again. by the way.. do you think it leaks if you sweat or anything?

Nope the ONLY and I repeat ONLY way it comes off is if you rinse it off with a shampoo BUT be warned that if you do tend to put it on your hair it will more likely come off too. But its easy to get on your scalp anyway, I dont like the applicator that comes with it so what I tend to do is put some on my finger and massage it in while parting my hair.. Its pretty easy, you'll get used to it.

I thought the same as you about it looking unnatural, but believe me it does far more than you think.. I still dont get how it blends in but it really does seem to do its job anyway.

Hope that helps!

i'll definitely have to try it....the only problem i see is that if i put it on in the morning (i always have to shower and shampoo my hair every morning before work and wash the minoxidil off that i put the night before) i then have to shampoo my hair twice a day to wash the couvre out to put on minoxidil.. or can you apply the minoxidil while it's on? i'm against shampooing my hair twice a day. i honestly think it'll make you lose a lot of hair and go bald quicker..thanks again

You can apply the minoxidil while Courve is on, but at least wait 5 - 10 mins until the Courve is dry.. I tried it like 10 minutes ago, still seems to be there, so I guess the stuff does live upto its expectations again :)

So no you wont have to wash your scalp twice a day.. So your alright :)

hi people,

I am still having my whole bottle of TOPPIK and DERMATCH at home, collecting dust.

I have it since 2 weeks back but have not used it.
hehehe...

I am only keeping it on a rainy day (dating or night outs) but i am glad that my thinning is not that bad.

They say, using dermatch and toppik together works like a miracle.

ONly thing I would be worried about is having it rub off onto a girl that might be grabbing your head for ...some ...reason..

thankfully my g\f would know and wouldn't care.. she knows i'm thinning but thinks i'm overeacting because it's not noticible.. it'd be if i combed it back though. i comb my hair forward and flip it up in the front

i don't let my g\f touch my hair and it annoys her.. not to get too graphic but when i used to go down on her she'd have the habit of pulling my hair hard. this was a little after the time i just started losing my hair..i've since had her stop doing it. even when she cuts my hair i don't let her comb it backwards when she cuts it..she does a great job cutting it. i'd hate to have to go to the barber and have them cut my hair in a way that's noticible.. having my own personal hairdresser that's my g\f just worked out for me.. i got lucky

You are lucky, she must cover it up pretty good.. And you dont even pay you lucky sod!

MSM makes my hair grow too fast, I need to go to the barber every every month now.. It does thicken my hair up too thats why I use it.
