well the one thing my dad always says........granted he's in tip top sahpe at 55 and has no medical problems (mainly cuz he dones't go to the doctor) but when eh talks about people that have cancer or a terminal illness its not how much longer you live, but the quality of life you live......so i mean i can understand why would u wanna live 10 years less it was 60 greats years persay vs 70 bad years...... if u look at it like that makes perfect sense for why people would say yes.
I'm 19, and this vicious male pattern baldness bug just hit me and all I can say is hell no. Life is a precious gift and to give about 1/7 of your life so you could have somewhat of a full head of hair and people can be more respectful of you is ridiculous. I'm starting to eat healthier and excercise more often (i've been in great shape all my life except last year because of not playing basketball as often) because that combination can help prolong your life and although my family has a strong history of male pattern baldness, they also have a good history of living long because they are from a third world country where mcdonalds and fast food is a recent innovation and they have been eating well and been active all their lives. I'm living life for myself not for the people who I wish to seek their approval.
Yes, assuming I live to be 80 normally I'd be totally content dying at 70 if I magically regrew all of my hair tomorrow. It's not like the last 10 years of your life are fun anyways. More often than not your rotting away in a wheelchair or sitting in front of a TV being fed dinner.
If the grim reaper knocked on my door RIGHT NOW I would have problem doing this as long as I kept my soul and it was 10 years from my normal day of expiration.
talking of 10 years, you bumped a thread that was last active nearly 10 years ago :wow:
(the way I'm feeling right now, the answer would have to be yes btw, losing 10 years of the "worst" part of your life to have a normal experience in your prime - absolutely)
