Would this be aesthetically pleasing?

I'm a ways off from this, but some day I probably will be NW5 or 6. I've wondered recently, wouldn't it look better to have hair on top and not on the back and sides? What I mean is transplant the ENTIRE donor zone to the top. I think pretty much any man would look better with a mohawk than a horseshoe!

I still think it would look ridiculous being slick bald on your sides, and remember you'll never get the same density well currently anyway. I wouldn't do it personally.

That;s actually not a bad one Fred... I'd much rather have hair on top, rock the warrior wolf tail or Ragnar Lothbrook look, get some tattoos on the side of my head. Anything is better than a horseshoe...

and that as you age it will look increasingly more stupid.

This. What looks good in your 20's and 30's could look retarded in your 40's and 50's.

hey goldenmane, hope you are holding steady with treatments. In theorry what you suggested definitely looks better than being bald on top, however since fred has had a fue and going by his posts, perhaps you can actually try it. . .but whaddaya know, by that time some cure sprouts up :D

Well I'm gonna have to disagree with you guys, no matter what age, I'd rather have Ragnar's hairstyle than rock the horseshoe. I'm sure some FUE procedures do leave scars, but that's what scalp micropigmentation and/or badass head tattoos can cover. I don't doubt it would be prohibitively expensive though...

Cheers isis, I'm nowhere near needing it now, holding steady, **** temples, but what are you going to do!
I'm just surprised that nobody else has considered it before, it could be the expense, but I really don't believe that anyone, even an old man would feel more stupid/self conscious with a Ragnar cut than a horseshoe. I won't hold my breath for a cure tbh, even if one comes out in the next 10 years, I doubt most of us will be able to afford it. It's gonna be VERY expensive when it comes

I've had FUE and I shave my sides to 0.5 mm.

I don't have these famous dotted scars.

Never seen them when a small punch (0,8 mm) is used.

These "dots" are a myth. A dangerous myth, because it's what prevented me from going for my FUE that changed my life.

Stop the excuses, what OP suggested would be completely feasible if you had the cash for it.

They are there, but they're small, only if someone inspects that area closely can see them.
In your case, having light hair help disguise them almost perfectly, but, trust me, in very dark hair individuals, the fue dots are visible. All right, they don't stick out, but if you look closely, they are. It's impossible to take out tissue and the area you took out look the same.

And he's right, if you take out too much donor, the dots would be visible. Of course, mnaybe they can be covered with SMP.

Yes, it looks very good, the harvesting was done well, but...the hair is not the shortest possible. How about a shaved close picture? :)
