Would the big 3 help me? [Pics]

Hello,

I'm 25 years old and have been losing hair for 3-4 years. I've started Propecia & Nizoral a month ago and I've just placed my first order for Rogaine foam.

I know that everybody's case is different and that there are no guarantees, but, given my pictures, do you think I have a good chance from benefitting?

Thanks in advance!

I've always had relatively thin hair, but never this thin. Why? Does it seem unusually think to you?

Thanks.

Nothing unusual about it, looks like plain male pattern baldness to me. Jump on the big 3. Good luck.

Well, I was wondering because your sides look thin. What grade did you use? Having 'thin hair' or low density isn't alarming if you always had it.

The statistics to regrow hair is pretty good. Give it a year and see what happens. If it doesn't work for you at least you'll know you tried...

Yes, my sides are thin and getting thinner! What do you mean by "what grade did you use"?

Thanks again!

If you're noticing your sides getting thinner, then you have a totally different problem. Is your back getting thinner, too? The sides and back are supposed to be resistant to hair loss. The only part that should thin on the sides is the anterior temple, but it appears you still have them intact. If you believe all your hair is thinning, then you may have DUPA. Propecia may or may not help with DUPA. If you're taking medication, look at the side effects. You may have APA and just taking some medication that's causing further hair loss. You not want to jump into something that may or may not help you, so see a dermatologist. There's no way he'll not say you're suffering from some balding, but you'll want to know what's causing it and if Propecia will help.

I assumed you clipped/buzzed down your hair by looking at the pictures. There are various clips and each clip has a grade - 4 = 12mm, 3 = 9mm, 2 = 6mm, 1=3mm.

I totally agree he should go to a derm but I wouldn't call it DUPA just yet man. His sides definitely look thicker than the top of his head.

To be honest with you, I can't really tell if/how much my sides are getting thinner. I will see a dermatologist about it.

As for medication, I've been taking this one med (gastrointestinal) for over 4 years and haven't notice any hairloss from it before, although I found online that reversible alopecia may be caused by it. Should I talk to my gastro specialist about this?

As for the grade of my clip, I actually shaved it all off (0, I guess) and let it grow for about 1 month when I took that picture. What do you think?
