I thought about transitioning to Finasteride by using Saw Palmetto and also because I fear side effects of finasteride so I could get used to them (if it's the case) by using something milder like Saw Palmetto, but is it effective against male pattern baldness? I'm not shedding much tbh, so I could probably do well on finasteride (normally), but I'm not ready to take it.

Not worth it. Do a bit of research and you will realize there aren't any results from Saw Palmetto. Most natural remedy pushers are trying to sell you their e-book, get you to sign up for their newsletter, or sell you a diet plan. The snake oil salesman is incredible at disguising himself.

You could always try it out, I'm sure there isn't any real harm in doing so. The fact that you're considering Finasteride already means you're close to your tipping point in terms of hair loss and appearance satisfaction. If I were you, I would just bite the bullet, take the finasteride, and if you have side effects just stop taking it.

I don't have time to go to a doctor mate, I'm busy all day with my current job.

Then make your peace with going bald if you're not going to go to take an hour of your morning to go to a specialist.

Dont bother. IMO you should wrestle with the idea of finasteride. I have never used it in many years, and I understand the hesitation of trying it myself. That being said your better off giving it a shot then wasting money on saw palmetto. So either try finasteride or just accept male pattern baldness and hope for something better in the next couple years. minoxidil is a good thing to use too but it wont stop male pattern baldness
