Hi, My son was dx'd with Alopecia Areata when he was 8yrs old, hair grew in one spot fell out in another we tried everything but nothing helped. Within last 4 months it turned into alopecia areata universalis meaning no facial, body and scalp hair at all. I would love to meet other families with kids around my sons age so he can have someone to share his feelings and become friends with to help him cope.:$
