Over a month ago i felt like my hair had thickened up abit and recently things have gone bad, i am on finasteride once every other day and D.S topical Spectrals, but the hairloss didn't stop so i tried to add RU to my current routine as a stronger approach but had some chest pains so i stopped. then everything kinda changed.

My hair is receding quickly and its itching in the receding areas and i don't know what to do.

I take finasteride every other day because when i took it every day i had the same issue, quick receding and itch.

I don't know what this itch is and its stressing me out. if its DHT then what am i doing bad all of a sudden and why has this started at all? my libido is about average and i don't have any acne so i am kinda doubting its hyperandrogenicity but i don't know

I am peeing more lately though so i am guessing either my prostate is enlarged or has shrunk, i dunno which one.

Lately i am using revivogen scalp therapy shampoo and topical spironolactone but i can't say neither have made much difference

When people on here are saying they are itching and it must be DHT they are just saying that because it is the thing to say. There is no proof that if your scalp is itching it means DHT is higher.

Itchy scalp is by far the majority of the time related to the topicals you use or dandruff.

Start using Minoxidil FOAM everyday, take finasteride everyday, drop the topical spironolactone and the other stuf. Wash your hair with 1% Keto and massage your scalp with Peppermint and Rosemary oils a couple of times a week.

There seems to be a dozen mixed reports. some way shedding gives you an itch, some say its DHT, some say its minoxidil or other products.

Maybe its all 3 depending on the person.

Yeah itching can be caused by different things, but I do think in some people its related to male pattern baldness. Id just treat them separetly though for now since there is no formal link between the two. If your going bald treat that, and if you have dandruff/itching treat that with just different shampoos.
As someone with the itch for many many years I would just say nothing helps or cures it.
