Wondering Whether My Hairline Receding?is finasteride Needed?

Thanks for the reply. Where do you reckon I'd sit on the Norwood scale ATM, and is this a 'mature hairline'? Been to the GP only said scalp was healthy , but I think his knowledge on hair loss was v limited lol. (Said finasteride wasnt proven to work). Also I find it weird I would have a matured hairline as hit puberty late, and still can't even grow facial hair TBH.
it's just the fact theres lots of those thin light hairs on hairline, and hairline corners. My hair is still thick, but my hairline now seems to go back in the corners, which are clearly visible. Also my temples are asymmetrical one looks very boxy, other seems narrower but more receded. Mainly my dad being bald really is what's making me paranoid. Have I got a mature hairline? Or a NW1? Ill post more pics too

Dude you're fine. Go get the opinion of a derm if you're really concerned.
i can't afford it unfortunately, its expensive privately in UK. Just wanted a general consensus from this forum as you're all good at spotting hairloss, and its hard for me to be objective for myself. Out of interest where do I stand on Norwood scale? If this is a mature hairline? And does it look like it will get worse without finasteride ? Cheers

You're like a Norwood .5 with no other signs of thinning. Just take pictures and monitor it every few months to see if it moves.
ZERO point 5??? did you mean 1.5? as i do have some recession in corners clearly and i doubt im only a bit worse than a perfect hairline. With monitoring it's hard, as i always end up thinking its got worse, (been monitoring for 2 months). I know my worrying probably sounds stupid to people who have are definitely losing hair, its just I won't even suit a NW2 as i look about 16. Thanks again.

By .5 I mean that you're not even a Norwood 1. A Norwood 0 is like a child's hairline and yours is between that and a Norwood 1.
Ok i guess i will just monitor at the moment. Not sure how you guys are saying i've not lost any hair at all. my hairline does look a bit receded if i pull it back fully, and looks about NW2 wet. Is finasteride safe to use as a precaution?
Really? I thought I had more recession than that. Could you please take a look at these next and very last pics I'll post, where my hair is longer (and wet pictures)? It's honestly one of my biggest fears balding. (male pattern baldness gene is active in family as dad is NW7)

FINAL PICS FOR A WHILE: the consensus at the moment is no hair loss. To me it seems less evident to me with shorter hair as longer it looks far worse to me. Thanks again and sorry for keeping bumping this just very worried and can't afford to see a derm.

I started finasteride when my situation was exactly like his but then I do have BDD too.
However fell below baseline even on it.Wait so did you have male pattern baldness? I don't want to start finasteride buT my temples do look a bit receded. And did you actually need finasteride ?
