Dear All,

Because my last 4 questions were never anwsered i tried a subject as woh!!

I'm using propecia and kirkland.(5% minoxidil)
But the itching is too bad.

Can I use kirkland once a day instead of 2?

Or doesnt that help?

p.s. i use t-gel 2 times a week and drink green tea everyday.

Cheers

For the itching... Try using Nizoral instead of TGel 2x/week. I'm not sure how long you have been on your regimen, but you may have not have given the TGel time to really start helping with the itching... but, if you have been using it for a while then as I said I'd recommend trying Nizoral. Sometimes people have to hunt around a bit to find an anti-inflammatory that works for them. And, sometimes the itching and/or flaking goes away on its own as soon as the scalp becomes adjusted to the chemicals. If the itching continues, I would suggest trying a PPG-reduced or PPG-free version of minoxidil over reducing your applications to once a day. Another suggestion would be to use the 5% minoxidil at night, but use 2% for your morning applications. I'm in the camp that 2x application of minoxidil is important.

Gardener,

Muchos Gracias!

I'll continue my current regimen

minoxidil 5% once a day
T-GEL MON-WED-FRI
PROPECIA 1MG EVERYDAY

FOR ANOTHER WEEK

IF THAT DOESNT WORK I'LL SWITCH TO NIZORAL INSTEAD OF T-GEL

IF THE ITCHING GOES AWAY I'LL START USING 2% minoxidil IN THE MORNING....

Thanks your answer helped alot!

btw Is there somewhere were i can read your progress??

Cheers!

the itching will exist as long as you use minoxidil. you can use t gel to get rid of it but as soon as you apply minoxidil again it'll itch again

Speak for yourself. My itching went away in two weeks and I am still using Minoxidil, twice a day.

You should be using Nizoral anyways. Finasteride, Minoxidil, and Nizoral are concidered the 'big three' around here, the most proven reliable treatment for hairloss. Nizoral doesnt fight hairloss, but it does greatly improve scalp condition and 'set the stage' for maintenece/regrowth. You should be using Nizoral 2-3 times a week, and whatever other shampoos (TGel, etc) the rest of the time.

And Min 1xday is much better then nothing, but you will not have the results you would with the standard 2x daily

Minoxidil with 50% PPG created itching for me, lower PPG versions didn't itch at all.

You are one sullen character. I don't know why you continue to post at this site when you've made it obvious that you like no one here. All you provide is a constant stream of negativity with an occasional recommendation to use Neutrogena T-gel.
