haha anyone out there in the same boat as me? im only 22 and my stupid hair has been thinning like a mothersucker in the past couple years. its been thnning all over the top of my head, all over my sides above my sideburns, and even in the back. but you know what? my friggin hairline hasnt moved an millimeter. i buzz my head down real short cuz ive accepted my fate, but sometimes i wish my hairline would recede so id look normal and have a reason for buzzing. like, for christs sake, my hair line and about 5 cm past it, is the thickest part of my hair. so once im bald in a year or so (with the rapid rate of loss i've been experiencing so far, thats how long i give myself) im gonna have a bald top, with a hairline and the horsehoe. thats gonna be weird looking, hahaha. anyone got any advice on how to make my hairline recede? hahaha. sorry i know this sounds the opposite of what most people ask. hahaha. i just dont wanna do the hastle of bic'ing it all off. i like the convenience of a buzzer for my damn head. i also wanna let people know who are wondering if they should buz it off, that they should do so. cuz its not so bad. it also gives motivation to stay in shape. and if all else fails, just have sex with fat and ugly chicks. hahaha. peace out bros.

Dude i dont know what ur so upset about. Id love to have a low intact convex hairline and have my hair disapear or thin around it because I would just shave it down and it would look GREAT. Shaved heads with a solid hairline look better on guys than a guy with lots of hair, it just looks more masculine. You need a little muscle to pull this look off however.

Ever thought of entering a monastery? Perhaps your genetics are giving you a career tip. I have the same condition, it sucks, but it's no better or worse than the horseshoe.

Here's another one with that pattern. I agree, it's really no better or worse than any other form of balding. Once it gets serious, it doesn't matter which way it happens. Emex4, on my avatar there's a pic of someone with that condition.

You generally find such loss in female pattern baldness.

Are you diffusing into that pattern? Or do you have a slick bald spot creeping across your head? I am diffusing but have slowed down the rate of loss with a topical only regimen of minoxidil, Keto cream and a rotation of T-Gel, Oilatum and Alpecin shampoos. Regrowth is next to impossible, especially if your scalp has gone shiny, but if you catch it early enough you can slow the rate of loss. I'd quite like to try Proxiphen.

I have managed a little regrowth but unfortunately the girls I'm interested in don't make a dictinction between a scrapeover and a combover - if only they knew the amount of effort it takes to get from one to the other.

no i dont have a slick bald spot or anything. i've still got a good amount of hair all over my head, but its just thinning rather fast. since i buzzed it down in october, i can actually see the pattern and its pretty much just diffusion all over my head but with a strong hairline. i also have a double crown, so its kind of a strange pattern. before i buzzed it down, i was sheddding like crazy for over a year, give or take a month or two where it seemed to stabilize. i dont want to take propecia because i dont want to mess my hormones at all. i know most dont agree, but im not concerned enough about being bald to f*** with the hormones that essentially make me a man. im not super good looking either, but my head shape is alright, and i have thick shapely eyebrows and a body type built for muscle. but i am kind of short (5'9") so that part sucks. but whatever. the only treatment i use is nizoral 2% every day. im looking into nano shampoo. and i sometimes think about maybe using rogaine foam once a day.
