You will likely experience a shed, which may or may not recover depending on your genetic destiny. Hard to tell.

I have a friend who was on finasteride for 5+ yrs, he quit a year ago. Didn't lose a strand..

I quit, and quickly started losing density + receding..

Sad true, my friend.. You have it or you don't.

why would you take it if you are not balding in the first place?

A lot of people start taking it to avoid losing hair, without getting a proper diagnose. I did it. And have friends who have done it too.
